_PERSONALITY: Evangelyne is a level headed, practical, and straight forward young woman. She spent most of her young life as a lady in waiting for Princess Amalia Sheran Sharm of the Sadida people. Eventually, she became Amalia's closest friend, and body guard.
Despite being surrounded by royalty her entire life, Evagelyne has no problem speaking her mind, especially towards Amalia. She constantly holds the princess accountable for any action she sees as immature or stupid. She's done this without any worry of consequences from the Princess, or the royal family - even if Amalia does protest. This is mostly because Eva is nearly always right, and she only expresses her opinions if she's 100% sure that's she's correct about them.
When it comes to it, the entire party in Wakfu (known as The Brotherhood of the Tofu), Eva is the most level headed and sensible member of the group - and she knows it too. It's not just Amalia she holds accountable for her actions; but Ruel for being a greedy old man, Yugo for getting distracted with playing hero towards everyone, and Percidal for being a pure idiot.
She does it all out of affection and reason of course. The group has gotten off track more than once on their adventures, and Eva is there to bring them back to reality, and back on course with their objective.
However, there are times when Eva does suffer consequences, especially on those rare occasions where she doesn't think before she speaks. This usually happens with Percidal, whom despite being in love with him, does not hesitate to call him an idiot or an Iop brain. ( Iops are a race known for their brawns over their brains, and Percidal is a grade-A example of it. ) She has hurt Percidal's feelings very, very deeply before, but was also very prompt to apologize and make up for it. Even if Percidal wasn't very quick to accept such apologies; Eva didn't push him to forgive her. (Despite her forgiving him fairly quickly on multiple occasions.) Even if it meant losing him to her sister's affections, she waited for him to come to her when he was ready. (Which was after she and Rubilax - Percidal's demon possessed sword-saved his butt from becoming a monkey for the rest of his life.)
Despite being very vocal about her opinions, Eva keeps her private life tightly under wraps. With the exception of Amalia, the rest of the group hardly knows much of her. Revealing she had a younger, more troublesome sister, was quite a surprise to everyone. (And a disappointment for Percidal.) And, even though she's openly affectionate with Percidal in public, she does keep their sexual life private even from Amalia and everyone else. Percidal accidentally allowed it to slip once in front of the group and Eva was quick to shut him up. She attempted to play it off as him just being stupid again. Why she keeps it so private isn't really revealed, other than she wants it that way.
It's no secret that she cares extremely deeply for everyone in her party and not just Amalia and Percidal. Throughout the series, she ends up taking and older sister role with Yugo. She leads and guides him on their journey. She's more softer towards him, and finds it hard to say "no" to him at times. Even if she does vocally expressed the time that they waste due to Yugo's need to save everyone, she will still gladly helps him through ievery step of the way. Yugo ends up having a lasting effect on her in that way. One time despite finally, persuading the party to not help the village in need - from a cursed fountain - she makes the decision that the village has to be helped, and they're the only ones that can do it.
She's even showed sadness when Ruel faked a heart attack - and even forgave him for it.
She had a "Break the Cutie" moment ( http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BreakTheCutie ) at the end of season one. Percidal risks his life and dies in her arms. Then after that she watches Amalia die and become a tree right in front of her. It would have taken a much greater toll on her, had time not been shifted backwards to reverse nearly everything - save for Percidal's death.

One example was when she and Amalia were under the illusion of a perfect life - that was projected by The Tree of Life. The illusion features Amalia's mother, the queen alive, Percidal gallantly rescuing and professing his feelings for Eva - and him "magically" fixing her bow - that he recently broke - to make it all better. It was her level headedness that had her realize she was under an illusion and convinced the Tree of Life to let them go.
Her uneasiness about Percidal's death was another big indicator for her. There was something telling her, that despite dying in her arms, that he was still alive somewhere. That something was Percidal trying to reach out to her. Everyone tried to convince her that she just couldn't get over him. However, despite even questioning her own sanity - when Eva knows something, she knows. She was right, as Rubilax saved Percidal, and possessed him.
There are a few things that Eva can be completely oblivious about. One is the fact that according to everyone around her, she's undeniably beautiful. In an episode where she had to disguise as an "ugly" princess, she lets her hair down, dresses up, and puts on heels that she can barely walk in. She's utterly convinced that she looks ridicules when she dresses up - and completely oblivious to how others perceive her physical attraction. Something that is the root cause of a couple of kidnappings. Once by Vampryo, and once by a rogue / pirate.
She can also be completely oblivious when someone is in love with her, - which happens a few times. The more hilarious event was when the group competed in a Boffball (the world's popular sporting event) tournament, and a member of the opposite team instantly fell in love with her on sight. Amalia, who noticed right away, used it to their advantage, promising the player he would get a date with Eva if they helped them win. (Cheating is part of the rules of the game.)
Eva is apparently also quite oblivious to the affections of Amalia's brother, the prince, until Amalia brings it up to her. However, she's not oblivious to his terrible breath. One thing she's not afraid to express either. (At least not to Amalia. Even Eva knows better to mention it to the self-conscious prince.)
There are times when the rest of the group accuses of Eva as being a stick in the mud, and one time Percidal even called her a "cold fish" - if you know what I mean. Despite that, Eva remains collected when she's called out and quietly makes steps to better herself. However, Eva rolls high perception rolls (DnD joke *drumroll*), and can tell if insults her way are unwarranted. This was especially true in episode 21 when Yugo, usually the sweetest and most understanding of the group, called her out on her being bossy. Yugo never yells at her for any reason, which led her to believe that the men were being magically manipulated.
The only time she has a hard time keeping herself in check is when it involves Percidal; especially, when it seems like she's going to lose him again. Having him die in her arms, had a greater effect on her than she tends to let on. There were a couple of occasions when Percidal was kidnapped, or cursed and Eva utters the words "No, not again."
She also tends to have a short fuse when it comes to her younger sister. Though, she avoids voicing her grievances in front of the others save for Amalia. Even when she got jealous of Cleo and her affections towards Percidal, the only one who saw it was Amalia. It was also Amalia that helped keep Eva's jealousy and emotions in check during the event.
Still, when it came to protecting both Cleo and Percidal, Eva didn't hesitate. Even in the finale, Eva was very clear to compliment her sister on saving her life, and how well of a shot (with her cross bow) she was. She even forgives the both of them for their little "romance" and begins her relationship back with Percidal where it left off before Cleo appeared. It was also quite obvious Cleo's only intentions were to make Eva jealous anyway.
